DT Call - Join Scribbles Designs Design Team

Interested in joining Scribbles Designs?

Hello there! Scribbles Designs is about to turn FIVE and we are looking to expand our team. Would you be a good fit?
  1. Do you currently have an active blog?
  2. Do you love to create cards, scrapbooking pages, multi-media projects or other fun creations?
  3. Are you comfortable working with digital images and sentiments?
  4. Do you enjoy having fun and hanging out with like-minded crafters (i.e., people who are easy-going, friendly, caring, open minded, supportive, etc.)?
  5. Can you take good clean/clear pictures of your work?
  6. Can you meet a deadline?
If you answered yes to the above questions, then you should keep reading to find out what else you need to do in order to apply for a spot on the Scribbles Designs Design Team

We’re looking for a few enthusiastic, dependable,
team-oriented designers to join us.

Prior Design Team experience not required.

What you need to know:
  • You must be willing to have fun and laugh and join our Scribbles Designs family.
  • Terms are for six months long (with an option to extend if mutually agreeable).  Your first official project and post will be due starting in the new year.
  • New team members will be responsible for creating 2-3 projects a month:
    • One project for the start of the challenge.
    • One project for the midway of the challenge.
    • An optional third project that will be shared as part of a monthly inspiration post.
  • You may be asked to participate in special events, i.e. blog hops, special challenges, etc. but these will be planned and discussed well in advance.
  • All group communication and photo uploading will take place on a special blog for DT Members so you will need to be or become comfortable working within the Blogger environment.  It is a private group and only Scribbles Designs DT members will have access to it.

What you need to do:
Send us an email to serve as your DT Application. It must include the following information:
  1. Please include your name and a short bio, with links to your blog and any online galleries you might have.
  2. Let us know why you think you'd be a good fit for the team.
  3.  Let us know what your experience is working within a design team.  If you don’t have any DT experience, that is okay too!
  4. Please attach three (3) different projects (at least two of them being cards) showcasing your talent (don’t worry, it doesn’t matter how new you are to card making).  These projects can be pre-existing, they don't need to be new.  However, we’d like one (1) of those projects to showcase you using a Scribbles Designs image. If you don't have any Scribbles Designs images you can find a large selection of freebies in the store by clicking HERE
  5. Any other relevant information you’d like to share.

What you get:
  • The exclusive Scribbles Design designers badge for your blog.
  • You can request up to $10 worth of digital images per month to use in your cards/projects.
  • There might be other bonuses along the way (i.e. extra images when we have new release parties, etc.)
  • Excellent personal blog exposure as your name and blog link will be displayed on the Scribbles Designs Design Challenge blog, for the duration of your design team term.

We're also looking for a Sponsor Coordinator

Scribbles Designs sponsors a number of challenge blogs each year and we're looking for someone who has prior experience in the position, to come on as our Sponsor Coordinator. If this is a task that you might be interested in taking on, please be sure to state so in your application. Also let us know how much experience you've had, the type of duties you did in the position and who the position was with. Of course, anyone coming on as both a team member and Sponsor Coordinator will receive extra incentive for the position.

So, are you up for the challenge?

If you are seriously interested in becoming a member of our team AND can meet the obligations outlined above, please send us an email to Lisa D. (DT Coordinator) at decossesdynamitedoodles [at] yahoo [dot] ca (please be sure to remove the [at] and [dot] and replace them with the appropriate symbols) with the subject heading, "SDDT Application 2017'.

Deadline to submit:
February 15, 2018 at midnight PST

We're looking forward to meeting you and having
you join our Scribbles Designs Design Team!

If you missed last week's post and are counting the Saturdays in October, yes, we're a week off. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get everything organized in time for an official start last Saturday so instead we're posting on the third Saturday of the month. Next week I'll be back on track with the GDT's second projects of the month. For now though, without further ado, it is time to take a peek at what our guest designers came up with for their first projects of the quarter!

Challenge #58: Picture Inspiration

Challenge #58
Picture Inspiration

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Scribbles Designs Challenge blog. Whether you are new or one of our regulars, we are so thankful that you are here with us on our little spot in blogland. It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for our next challenge to get started! Our theme this month is Picture Inspiration and here is what you need to know to join us...

 courtesy Jill Wellington, Pixabay

Here in many parts of North America and in other locations throughout the world, fall is officially upon us and what a wonderful season to behold. One of the great things about the fall is all the gorgeous rich colours around us. Harvest is in full bloom at this time of year and we've found a beautiful picture that reflects the bold bright colours and splendours of the season.

Thus, this month our theme is picture inspiration. We want you to take a look at the picture above and be inspired by one of its many aspects, when creating your project. Maybe you'll be inspired by the leaves or perhaps you'll be influenced by the flowers or other botanical elements. Perchance you'll be influenced by Cornucopia filled with fruits and veggies. Finally, maybe you'll simply be moved by the colours. This month it is all in the eye of the beholder. Just be sure to let us know somewhere in your post, what specific item(s) you were inspired by. You can simply write a sentence where you add the link up if it would be easier. We just need to know how you were influenced so we can include you in the draw for the prize and top three.

Our incredibly talented women are here to share their inspiring creative work featuring projects related to our Picture Inspiration theme. We hope that you will enjoy the Scribbles Designs images and the creative direction that ensues.

Any questions about the challenge? Please read our Challenge Rules located in the right sidebar.

If you would like to purchase a Scribbles Designs image, please click HERE.

Sandy is happy to provide you with a freebie for participating...

Psst...don't forget to left click on the image to bring it up full size in the light box before saving.

You can also find this image in the store,

  • Top 3 (chosen by Design Team) receives $3 worth of digital images
  • Gold Star (chosen by Design Team) receives $3 worth of digital images
This challenge will end on November14th at 9:00 p.m. PST. The list of winners will be published in a separate post, sometime between the 20th and 22nd of the month, if everything goes according to plan. Winners will get to choose their images from those in the store and will have until December 14th to claim their prize. Be sure to check for the winner announcement if you have entered this challenge.

Right now, it is time to get your creative juices flowing
